I'm Josh, founder of Side by Side.

I spent fifteen years as a 3D designer and creative consultant. I never wanted the usual path of opening a studio or an agency. I was more interested in the systems underneath a business, the actual parts that make it money. So at the start of 2025 I pivoted properly into AI and automation, and built Side by Side.

The first thing I built was a cold email system, which after success personally, then created over £300k worth of opportunities for a mentor of mine.

Early in 2026 I hired my first small team, and the business wasn't ready for them. Nothing was written down, every question came back to me, and I was delivering all day and building at night, with barely any time to sell. I was building systems for clients and struggling with my own operation.

So I built our own operating system. First, one home for everything: clients, projects, tasks, knowledge, sales and numbers. Then I got how the business actually runs out of my head and into it, so the team could go to the system for answers instead of coming to me. Then the work started coming off my desk, one process at a time, as SOPs, AI skills and automations.

I'm now working in the business 75% less than I was at the beginning of 2026, and the time it gave back goes into a daily sales habit. Other founders saw it and started asking me to build them the same thing. John's team now work from SOPs instead of coming to him, and Dave rebuilt his agency around it.
